It happened yesterday – this blog crossed the 500 follower mark. I’d like to thank everyone who’s stopped by to read this blog, liked a post and especially those who’ve found enough here, to click the follow button.
It means a lot to me that there are people who make the time to see what I am up to. This isn’t one of those world stunningly good blogs, but still a few of you keep looking at what I am doing.
This is one of those weeks where I feel a bit creatively drained. I don’t have a new poem or any stunning writing to share. It’s been a busy week for me with other things.
One highlight of this week was going to a local poetry group. They had a featured speaker who read some of his work followed by an open mic session. I plucked up the courage to put my name on the list and read my poem, I Must Go to the Sea. There were a lot of readers there with some great poetry so I was a little nervous to read, but I forged ahead. It’s hard to judge, but I think they liked it.
Editing on the book continues – mostly by others and I’ve started to look at my publishing options. Well, a tiny bit. I’ve looked at the cost of Publishing through CreateSpace (Amazon’s self-publishing company) and it’s still an option. This is a very niche book so finding a publisher isn’t going to be easy. Likely it will need to be a small press looking for new authors. Well, the googling will continue as I search around the various options.
That’s it for this week.
Till next time,
Andrew

That’s a great sign that you’re creating work authentic to you when you get that feeling (at least that’s my take on it). 🙂

Congratulation on crossing your 500th follower. I’m happy for you. Your poem is wonderful and creative – For me I write for myself. If I get some likes and comments I’m fortunate but If I don’t get any I don’t put my mind around why they didn’t and like you forge ahead. Congratulations again.

I follow the rule, “Write what you like to read.” I am happy that there are others who like what I like. That there are that many, just amazes me. Thanks.
