Friday Music – More Shallow Brown

One of my more popular posts is this on my favorite sea shanty, Shallow Brown.

Well, since I wrote that post a couple of years ago, more versions of the song have been posted to YouTube.  This week a reader of this blog sent me this version of Shallow Brown.

Have a listen and I am sure you’ll agree these guys have great voices and do an outstanding job on this song.  Going to add that one to my play list.

Well, I am off to hoist the sails and set off into the weekend sunset,

Andrew

  2. Amazing voices, Andres. I love singers with the nerve to sing a capella. These guys are great–mellow, rich, deep, never a missed note.

  3. a wonderful blend of voices– enough to make a landlubber like me envious of another’s pleasure. my father-in-law was the perfect gentleman, being a very deferential federal court justice, until he got his hand on the rudder–suddenly he became certifiable–a regular Ahab–yelling about watching for booms and shouting at us about ropes, turning his ‘picnic outing’ into flirtations with watery graves, till, finally finding our way back onto the dock, we’d swear that was going to be ‘the last one’…..
