Father’s New Year Wisdom

This is the time of year when we all start to reflect on the past year.  I just wanted to say that I am not doing that today.  Maybe later.

However I did want to share something my father told me on New Year’s day about 25 years ago:

Me: “I think my hair is thinning.”
Father: “Good, who wants fat hair.”

My father died in 2001, but this time of year I always look into the mirror and think of those wise words.

May your 2016 be filled with happiness, joy, hope, love and wisdom.

Peace to you and yours,
Andrew

Love it! Reminds me of my young neice, whose blonde fine hair seemed destined not to grow. She sat on my bald husbands knee, stroked his head and said, ‘Ah, it’s still growing.’ The child is a lovely 35 year old mum now, and while she has a beautiful head of hair my husband has even less hair than he had then. 4. What a great dad! BTW, my mom was visiting, so I made her sit down and read a ton of my blog posts. She read some of the comments too, and once she hit upon what a funny guy you were, she was making a point to look for your comments. 🙂 Thought you’d appreciate that.
