Wednesday Baking – Snickerdoodles!

Haven’t been in the shop this week, but I made it into the kitchen to make a batch of snickerdoodles (my speciality).  Yup, I am a true renaissance man – woodworking, poetry and cookies.  I’ve even been known to vacuum the carpet without being asked.

Anyway, you get cookie pictures this week.

Just out of the oven.

Just part of the six dozen I baked.

These are destined for Heather’s art class, the church Christmas concert reception, and our tummies.  Yum.

If you need me – I’ll be looking up cookie recipes,

Although I’ve seen my mom makes these cookies and have made them myself, I wasn’t introduced to the name, snickerdoodle, until I got a batch from my mother-in-law.

I love this time of year when the house gets warm and smells good from cookies and breads baking in the oven! I made soft pumpkin cookies with pecans and pumpkin from our garden harvest. Yummy!

  15. I LOVE snickerdoodles but sadly enough, I’m the only one in the family who likes them. I’m having a large cup of coffee right now, and one of those would go great with it. Enjoy. 🙂
