Nothing is as complex as simplicity.
Mini sermon: In a car you press the brake pedal to stop. Simple. But that simplicity is composed of hundreds of mechanical parts that took 100 years of engineering perfect and requires skilled technicians to maintain. “I love you,” a simple phrase that both enriches and complicates life. Never underestimate the complexity of simplicity.
More Wisdom next week,
Andrew
Erm…very true. In Jordan, when you take your driving test, one of the requirements is that you demonstrate how to stop the car without using your brakes. Just a thought.

Interesting point. When I did my driver’s training way back in the last century, we had to answer questions on how to stop a car without brakes, but didn’t have to demonstrate.

It’s possible. Once every few years I get a real thought.

Profoundly true, profoundly defined.
Another truth is how difficult it is to simplify your life. So difficult, most people give up before they even start.

To simplify means removing complexity, to remove complexity means understanding the system and reduce it to its — yeah, want a glass of wine?

You’re welcome. Now I am off to do some “simple” tasks.

I hope that you don’t have any leftover parts when you are finished.

If there are left over parts, it’s just me simplifying the system …

Thinking about this simple sage quote, I am in a state of complex confusion.

Well isn’t that wise. I find myself agreeing. There’s nothing simple about love. I’m still figuring it out after 105 years.

Love feels like it should be simple, but isn’t.
