I’ve read many a book on account of a movie, but rarely have I watched a movie after I first read its book. I don’t like being disappointed.

Now there’s a truth I completely believe! If I hear about a movie being made from a book, if it holds any interest I read the book and forego the movie entirely. I can’t even think of a recent exception!

This is so true. For example, the book, The Exodist, was riveting but the movie was just gross, and they missed the whole point of the story.
