firday announcement

i’ve decided to stop using capital letters as i see no reason why some letters should be superior to others. all letters should be equal so i’m no longer going to engage in the unjust behavior of making some letters uppercase and some lowercase.

join with me and together we can achieve true equality for the whole alphabet.  we should never let a written letter suffer the indignity of being forced to lowercase just because it didn’t happen to start a sentence or be the first letter of a proper noun.

with all letters lowercase we can move our language towards true justice and freedom for all.

join me next week as i launch my campaign against proper nouns.  there should just be nouns – no just words, even calling it a noun shouldn’t be done – why do we place these artificial categories on words?

You make a good point. What worries me are all those pronouns getting all puffed up and full of themselves, beings how there are no antinouns to keep them humble.

No, I could never stop using capital letters. The whole beauty of a written language is lost. I don’t think equality and inequality is the point here.

I’ll think about it, Andrew. I’m not quite ready to commit. But I do have to respectively request that you maintain all rules of punctuation. I just can’t let that go!

  11. well, i’ll jump on the lowercase band wagon with you because i certainly don’t want to make any letters feel inferior. do you suppose that’s why e.e. cummings wrote all his poems that way? of course, you may have just opened a can of worms here because honestly, what about punctuation? perhaps the lowly period feels so inadequate next to the exclamation point! 😉

    • punctuation is a problem. for letters and words they’re oppressors and limit the freedom of words to mean anything they want. But without punctuation, chaos rules. sigh, it’s a problem …

hahaha that seems strange and funny. uou should also think about making all letters of same height and width. i see no reason why some letters should be superior in size to others

  18. I see what you did there, in the title–‘firday’, in honor of your kitties. But you spelled ‘fur’ wrong. Well, that’s OK!
