Friday Wisdom – Snow

Yesterday I drove through the mountains. There was plenty of snow on the road so here’s what I know about winter and snow:

When I saw the icy road, I could hear it calling, “Want to go for a spin?”

There is a new kind of bicycle for winter, it’s called an icicle.

If you need cash in the winter, just go to the nearest snowbank.

What do snowmen like best about going to school? The snow and tell time.

I put my radio out in the snow – I wanted to listen to some cool music.

The grandkids have been staring through the window ever since it started to snow an hour ago. Guess I’d better let them inside.

What do you give a snowman for breakfast? Frosted Flakes.

I only found one of my snow boots, but that’s okay, there’s only a 50% chance of snow.

What was the penguin doing in the Sahara Desert? It was lost.

Which side of a penguin has the most feathers? The outside.

I tried to be a fortune teller for awhile, but I wasn’t very good. I could only predict really bad storms – turns out I was using a snow globe.

I started writing this joke about snow, but it’s a bit flaky.

The weatherman told me that clouds only produce snow when they can really chill out.

I bought a snow shovel, but I had the heater on in the car and the shovel melted before I got home.

What do snowwomen put over their baby’s crib? A snowmobile.

What is the scientific of a snowman in summer? A puddle.

  1. I liked this one: Which side of a penguin has the most feathers? The outside. But then the snow globe and the snowmobile over the baby’s crib were strong competitors. 😛

I liked the one about the bicycle/icicle. I had never really made a connection between the two words.

I love the grandkids at the window, too! In Ohio it’s all about leaf raking. By rake. Not my favorite chore. Could use some leaf funnies, Andrew!

  4. “Guess I’d better let them inside” – hahaha!!! Nice to see some funnies about snow – around here, it’s a four-letter word. 😉

  5. Even though I’m not ready for snow yet, I’m always ready for your Friday funnies. I’ve got one for ya — two snowmen are standing out in my yard and one says to the other, “You’re right, it DOES smell like carrots!” 😉

  7. Happy weekend. 🙂 I am of the unpopular opinion that I actually ‘like’ snow. Coming from Chicago, we grew up with four definitive seasons. Moving to Nova Scotia several years ago was a good move for me. It eliminated the extreme heat (for the most part) and I still had a nice autumn, spring, and – yes – winter. To each his own, I suppose.

“Want to go for a spin…” – HA! There was a 100-car pile-up in Denver yesterday for that very reason. Nope, don’t miss living there this time of year.

Usually I like early winter snows but I didn’t laugh at these. I’m living in the country side right now with friends. I hope to be in my own town place AGAIN before we get any big eastern Colorado snows this winter. Country life is nice but I do miss town conveniences.
These past months since late June have been tumultuous times for me. I am sure God is teaching me some lessons. I should turn off the glum FnB and pay attention to my lessons, yes I should.
