Skyline Ridge Hike

I am playing around with some video making. Here is a video of a hike Heather and I did a couple of weeks ago. You never really get done with something like this – you just stopped editing and post what you’ve got. Next time I hope to have better quality in all this.

Well done! You have a great announcing voice. My only critique is that the pans and scans were sometimes too fast. I wanted to look over the scene more than I had time to.

  Yeah, I used a number of stills and iMove’s default is 4 seconds per shot and I think I missed changing the timing. Then I ended up using music that was slower than I was thinking when I took the video clips. Lots of things for me to improve on for next time. Thanks!

    iMovie is not as easy to use as they’d have you believe. I’ve struggled with it on several occasions. If I have a choice, I prefer ProShow Gold – only available on the PC unfortunately.

      I’ve got a house full of macs so I use what I can. iMove is at least free. If I decide to really get into doing videos I’ll like upgrade a bunch of things. Right now I am just seeing if I like doing this as a creative outlet. We’ll see where it goes.
