Friday Reblog – Pacific Paratrooper

We all have blogs we read all the time and Pacific Paratrooper is one I always look forward to reading.   Here’s the current post:

June 1942 (3)

gpcox covers a lot of ground on history of WWII in the Pacific and related subjects.  I’ve long been interested in the history of that war.  My father served in the US Army as a radar man in the Aleutian islands as part of the Coast Artillery Corps from 1943 to 1945, so I have a special interest in the posts on Pacific Paratrooper.

It’s a great site to checkout, and he often has these great military humor picture.  Watch out for them, they’re good.

Till next time,

Andrew

Last night I watched Citizen4 on HBO and made the remark to those gathered how really poor my education was when it came to US History. This morning I checked in to your website and found this re blog and went to check it out. You were so right in choosing this, and it is not something I would have normally located myself Andrew. I am going to use this site for my Sunday Visit series because I bet I am not the only one out there who had a lacking US History education!. Thank you.

Thank you for doing this, Andrew. You have helped to remind people what these troops did for all of us.
