Wednesday Woodworking – Wings?

You’ve wanted to know.  Yes, this is what the wings will connect to:

It's a Seagull.

It’s a Seagull.

It’s a kind of mobile and I am making a whole flock of them.  Heather will paint them and they’ll be one of our gifts for the year.  I’ve got four cut so far.

and then I made more sticks for the next mystery project:

Three sets of sticks for a special gift.

Three sets of sticks for a special gift.

It will be awhile before you see painted seagulls, but I hope to have more pictures with the sticks next week.

If you need me – I’ll be in the shop,

Andrew

I figured the wings were for birds of some kind (love mobiles!). Hey, I’m no dummy. But I still haven’t figured out the little sticks and whether they go with the birds (feathers, perhaps?) or something else. Whatever they’re for, it’s going to be mighty tedious attaching all of them … unless you just throw them into a pile of glue or something.
