I made another planter box this week plus made some progress on this gift project. Here’s the latest picture of the parts:

Now I’ve got six things.
And I bought a new tool toy:

My new belt/disk sander.
It not exactly professional grade, but for a hobbyist like me it will do just fine. This really helped with the sanding on the project above.
That’s it for this week.
If you need me – I’ll be in the shop,
Andrew
What is it? I don’t know tools… Am I still allowed to follow your blog?

Well, hummm, okay, you can still follow, but I am not telling yet. 😉

Have fun with your new toy, but watch the knuckles.

Knuckles? “Real” woodworkers don’t need no knuckles… 😉

I’ve been watching your woodworking for some time now – and I must say – you have gone from a very good craftsman to Outstanding. And now a new toy? I’ll have to check the dictionary for a new adjective for you!!

Do let me know what you find. Thanks for your kind words, I don’t know about ‘outstanding,’ but I do think I am starting to get the hang of this woodworking stuff.

I don’t know what those multicolored pieces of wood are for, but they are obviously part of a beautiful project.

Well, I am hoping it turns out that way!

Gotta have the necessary tools! You look very organized.

Looks that way, but it’s all done with smoke and mirrors…

Is your workshop as neat as it looks? Good grief. I can’t keep my house that organized!

No, it’s not neat. I just take vary small pictures of areas I’ve cleared out to give the illusion of neat. In general my shop looks more like a bomb hit a pile of lumber.
