Wednesday Woodworking – Little Library Progress

The shop is currently a library factory.  Here’s one with the face frame installed:

The clamp is because I broke a piece and had to fix it.  I didn’t crop this picture so you could see how messy my shop really is.

The little book project is moving slowly along. Here is a closeup of the pieces that will make up the front and backs:

That's 320 little bits of plywood - 80 short of my goal.

The good news is that cleans my shop out of 1/4 scrap plywood.  The bad news is that if they really want 200 little books, I need to buy more plywood.

I deliver the parts to the church on Saturday.

If you need me – I’ll be in the shop.

  1. I totally 100% believe you when you say you’ll be in the shop at this point. Your shop looks spacious. My dad’s was messier, trust me.

It’s the most organized mess I’ve seen. You are accomplishing quite a bit there. 🙂

I’m really looking forward to seeing the completed project! I have a hard time imagining the very ambitious 200 books!

    • I’ve been having a hard time with that too. The whole project is a bit ambitious, but the other members of team are confident so I am just pushing the table saw as hard as I can.

That’s not messy. Or, I’ve certainly seen messier.

  6. Sunday! So you’ll be in your shop 24/7. I hope you share a picture of all the completed books. That will be amazing.

Your workshop seems pretty neat to me. But I am very untidy. Good luck.
P.S.. What thickness ply are you using ?
