As followers of my blog know, I’ve been putting my workshop time in on these little libraries for the church project. For my Wednesday post I have a few more pictures of the work day. We were hoping to get three or four assembled and painted. This crew built eight and painted nine. Mostly I just walked around acting like I was in charge saying, “Great work folks!” and “Thank you for helping!”
It was a tough job, but someone had to do it.

The painting crew.

This team built two libraries.

Another two library team and they found an easy way to bolt the roof on.

The roofing crew. These three built all the roofs.

Picture taken two minutes after lunch was announced.
If you need me – I’ll be in the shop

This is quite a team project! I have started noticing these little libraries, sometimes almost hidden in plain sight, due to being quite disguised! I do love this project you’re “supervising.” Every team needs someone to encourage them!

It was a bit of work and I figure my best role is as cheerleader.

This is awesome. I totally need to build my own little library. There are three in my neighborhood. Thanks always for the likes on my post. Great to know there’s another lover of Literature out there. Best wishes.

We have a couple in my area. I am seeing a lot more of these popping up around town.

Ha! Love the caption on the last pic. I hope there was still food left for you by the time you got there. And these are great and all, but, ahem, excuse me? FRIDAY WORDS OF WISDOM?? Don’t think I didn’t notice!

Well, what wasn’t shown in the picture was my plate of food that I used to convince my work team it was time to eat.
And yes, there was no wisdom this week, but I’ve got a really, really good reason why it didn’t happen. More about that later.

I will admit that I had my plate of food about 3 minutes after this photo was taken. 😉

If that’s a sample of your congregation, I’m impressed. Great mix of young and old and everyone helping. Good job, Andrew.

What’s in the photos is a good cross section of the congregation. I had hoped for more kids in the assembly area, but most of the young ones went into the bookmark making tables. Which was a lot closer to the juice and cookie table…

Learning to delegate is the most difficult lesson a leader must learn. It looks like your teams enjoyed their day in the shade.
Keep up the good work,

I’ve got a great story/joke about leadership that I’ll share Friday. Getting the shade was easy all it took was, “Would you guys put the pop-ups over there.”
