Having spent my entire career in IT and marrying someone who was a programmer when we first got married, this is on the mark! Another part is “We never have time to do it right but we always have time to do it twice.”

On my current job the most common thing heard in the engineer team is, “We just need to do something, we’ll fix it right later.” Of course, later rarely happens.
