Since I am far away from my shop here is another picture of Boots Kitty.
The cage is for our senior kitty Spirit. Normally 17-year-old Spirit lives in our bedroom, but sometimes we bring her into the other kitty’s space for a little change of scene and when we need to clean the bedroom.
Boots really wants to be friends with Spirit, but Spirit only hisses back at poor Bootsie. We still can’t explain why Boots likes to sit on top of the empty cage – doesn’t look comfortable to me.

It’s a great photo. Until I realized the cage was empty it looked to me like Boots was holding a cat toy through the cage as a tease. It would be nice if they could be friends, but sometimes that bridge just won’t be gapped!

Part of why Boots is up there is for the hanging cat toys. Boot will likely keep try to be friends and I think Spirit is starting to soften as she only hisses if Boots stays longer than a minute.

I whole-heartedly approve of this post. Maybe Bootsie just likes getting airflow to her tummy fur.

That’s the best theory I’ve heard so far.

Boots might be cooling her stomach, much like cookies out of an oven are put on drying racks. Either way, a cute kitty.

Well, that is possible. It was warm that day.

You can never tell what’s going on in the mind of a cat. We had a cat who liked to sit in baskets, the smaller the better. Half his body would be hanging out of it, but it didn’t matter, he’d choose it over the $30 kitty pillow every time. 🐈

Our cat Bella, likes baskets too. I’ll see if I can get a picture of her in hers.

That’s a keeper. Oh what is going through Bootsie’s brain???

Bootsie only has two functioning brain cells, so likely she’s not thinking much.
