    I recently commented “the dog ate my homework,” simply as a joke, and the young person didn’t understand the reference. I’ll be sure to refer to the computer next time. They’ll understand that!

    Favourite excuse over here is “Our printer is broken.” To which the answer is “And what about the School Printer”? A conversation then ensues containing the words Memory stick, email and attachment. But actually I always preferred the dog.
