The store was offering a “free gift” with purchase.
I’m confused, isn’t a gift free?
More questions next week,
Andrew

That’s the next step after they outlaw “free.”

I would insist on the gift and something else for free too. Good thinking Andrew.

Very astute, Andrew! They’ve been trying to trick us all this time and you’ve been clever enough to reveal the plot!

The gift is truly free. However, the strings attached to it are gonna cost you. 😉

Like when I check out at the grocery store and as they hand me the receipt for my $100 purchase they say, “You just sved $4.57.” (store discounts, etc)

How come I “save” more when I buy more? The math does seem wrong.

And if you have to spend on something else to get it it’s not really free is it?

If this was Europe and a ‘free gift’ was part of a newsletter sign-up, it would be illegal.
OK, I’m still a bit triggered over the whole GDPR thing.

I’m going to start selling free gifts for $9.99. GDPR – YAY! no real change and a new button to press!!!
