Wednesday Sheds – A New One

We currently have two sheds on our property so clearly we needed one more.

This is a cheap metal shed that will house tools like the lawn mower, edger and other things that need to be out of the weather. There is a rumor that it might also house patio furniture in the winter.

First step is the side walls. The little table is to hold the instructions. The drill ended up on the ground to make room for my water bottle. I never used the level – hope that affect the final product.

So far the hardest part of the project is sorting through all the boxes to find the right part. As you might guess the parts in the above picture were at the bottom of the box. Yup, the first parts used are underneath all the other parts. Fun times.

All the side walls are done and the tools put away. Next step is the roof.

The little table might end up just staying in the shed. No real reason – it just looks nice there.

That’s it for this week. If you need me – I’ll be building a shed.

  4. That looks very nice. The price of lumber here in our parts is skyrocketing – as it is in all of North America. What a nice alternative to using wood! I hope all goes well. Keep us posted.

    • Lumber prices have dropped here from insane to merely unbelievable. The only concern I have about this metal shed is will it stand up to the winter snow load. We don’t get much, but just enough for me to double and triple check the specs on this shed roof.
