It’s cold outside so I’m indoors mostly working on quilting or writing. Here’s my progress on the table runner:

I have two of the four big dots made. Each is made out of four blocks. The curvy log cabin tool makes these look like a circle. I have two more to do. This is a fiddly project to do and takes a lot of concentration to keep things lined up right. My next project will be simpler.
I have braved the outdoors once or twice:

Yup, I’ve been putting up outside likes. This is my heard of deer. There are a couple of other areas I need to do, but I’m waiting for a warm afternoon to work on those. Warm – like something above freezing.
I’ve also finished by poetry class, but those poems need some editing before they’re ready for the world to see.
If you need me, I’ll be looking for my sweater …
Looking for my sweater! That’s a new one!
The deer are tasteful and nice. I like subtle lights, not garish overdoing it.

It’s one the biggest reasons I selected this pattern.

Was this color palette what was represented on the pattern? Or did you pick it to your own taste? I find that I really love looking at color palettes for inspiration on Pinterest. This is rather new to me but lots of fun and it gives me so many ideas for other projects. 🙂

The pattern was sold as a kit so it included the fabrics. I was drawn to the package of colors first and then decided that I might be able to figure out the pattern. Normally I’d pick the colors myself, but this one just felt right when I saw it.

I love all the outdoor lights this time of year. The table runner has beautiful colours and looks well put together. I’m sure it’s darned fiddley!

Fiddly is right. Just one little missed step and you’re looking for the seam ripper to rip and start again.

We don’t need a lighted herd of deer in our yard because the real deal shows up on a daily basis. Think I could round them up and illuminate them?? 😉

you could get the battery powered necklace lights and just throw them around their heads or antlers … might work. 😉

Both gas and electricity prices have quadrupled here in England. mainly because of obscene profiteering by the power companies, so this will probably mean the darkest Christmas here for quite a few years. For that reason, keep the pictures of your wonderful decorations on your blog posts. Those deer are simply marvellous!

Love the outside man’s the quilts. To be honest, my first thought about the circles was “anti-aliasing”. Ha!
Looks great!

I have to say I’m thinking, “Anti-aliasing” the whole time I’m working on this. Quilting is really an exercise in geometry and pixilation.
