and now for some bad photography. Here is the second kitty ladder for the cat room:

The ladder is the diagonal line going over the medieval torture device know as an “Exercise Bike.”
The room through the widow is Heather’s art studio.
The cat room is long and narrow so it was difficult to get any other angle but here’s a second bad shoot:

I took about 20 seconds to set this one up. Oh look, you can see the deck I built.
If I had more time this morning, I’d explain that this photo is really an artistic piece intended to show the various layers and paths or lives take.
Sadly, I don’t have time to do that so it’s back to my day job before the boss catches me posting to my blog, again…
If you need me – I’ll be in the shop,
Andrew
Love the kitty ladders! I know several felines who would be thrilled with those. 🙂

I’ve got a few here who like them.

I am hiding your blog post from my cats. They would surely pack up a hobo pack and jump a train for CA if the saw how cushy your kitties have it. You give the rest of us a bad name…

Yes, best not to show other cats – you’ll get lots of extra demands if they see this.

Nicely done. I bet the cats really love that carpeted ladder.

They do. Now that the second one is there, they go up to the shelf more often.

I’d say your kitty cats have it made!

I love the you sneaked in a post in the middle of the day! The cats are treated like royalty, and any kids who come into the house must be fascinated. Who wouldn’t enjoy these ladders? The space might seem tight, but you have so much creativity in your household and studios do take space! Nice!

Oooh, very pretty deck! I’m sure your kitties love their view and hanker to get outside.

Their electronic kitty door lets them go outside between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm for their “deck” time and general run around. Most times you’ll find them in one of the many beds around the house.

An electronic kitty door? This is a new one to me. Must research this further…

Look up SureFlap. They make doors for dogs and cats. These read the ID chips the vets put in (or a collar tag) and only opens for the pet you want to use that door. It also has a timer function so you can control when they can go out. I like them so much, we have three.

Looks like the kitty ladder is a Round trip route to and from a snuggly bed! I would love to have such varying perspectives on life. Your deck is beautiful too…from this perspective. Kudos!

Get out of bed, climb a ladder, go back to bed. Could life get any better? I don’t think so.

Andrew, I think being one of your cats must be a very cushy job. Where does one apply?

We only take extra loving and cute kitties. Apply in person. 😉

I was surprised at how much space THERE IS FROM one step the next…

The picture makes it seem like a lot. It’s only 12 inches and our cats are on the large size, the biggest is 15 pounds and can stretch out a couple of feet easily.

Allan beat me to it. What lucky kitties you have!! My furball would love that ladder, since he can’t manage jumps very well anymore (he’s 15).

An older cat might do well with this kind of ladder.
