I still assembling small parts into bigger parts, but I did hang the first laundry cabinet this week:

It still needs the face frame and doors.
The plywood for this came from the old cabinets I removed – bit of material reuse going on here. The little frig here also servers as the cat food prep area.
The laundry room is also Spotty Kitty’s bedroom and she’s inherited this:

Spirit Kitty’s tower
Spotty just loves this tower. The fact that it’s close to her food bowl helps.
That’s it for this week
If you need me – I’ll be in the shop

I’m going to show your cabinet to my husband. We only have open shelving in our laundry area, and doors would be so much better. (If you get an angry note from him, you’ll know why.)

Doors would be fine. He might be able to order a set on-line and pretend he made them …

You mention the cat but we don’t get to SEE the cat. Cruel, Andrew, very cruel!

She wouldn’t pose for the picture. I’ll have to sneak one later.

Yes, you will! Your time slot on the talk show depends on it. 😉

The tower looks like Kitty Paradise! I’m sure the laundry cabinet will be appreciated, too; but probably not by Spotty Kitty. 😉

I want one! But, um, can she reach that top shelf?

Maybe I could mail you one 🙂 We were hoping she can’t reach the top shelf, but likely she could if she wanted. Better get some doors on there soon.

Have the cats made use of the new “tower of shelves”? Nice progress this week.

Not yet, but they have discovered that the cat food cans are on top of the frig and get excited when we go to the laundry room.

Ah, my kitty also is housed in the often-warm laundry room His little furry cat cave is there, his litter box, and his food. There’s a baby gate to keep the dog out. Nifty gate has a smaller cat gate at the bottom.

We only have kitties, but we did put a cat flap in the laundry room door so we can close the door when we want.
