So the other day I thought of something that I should look with a google search. By the time I got a browser window up, I’d forgotten what I was going to search for.
So I typed in, “Short term memory loss in aging men.”
Interesting stuff. There was this really great article about it. Can’t remember what it said, but you should read it.
I also discovered a sale for 2-cup tea pots and that my favorite table saw blades are in stock at the local Home Depot.

Wow, this sounded exactly like one of my Google searches! At least I think it does. I forget.

Exactly – I don’t remember most of what I looked up, or why.

Andrew, aren’t you taking your B12 every day?

Not at the moment. I have changed to a low-carb diet and that’s been helping my overall health.

B12 helps with mental function, alertness.

I might try it then, but having me mental alert and wandering around in public – I don’t know.

I prefer to think of it as “finding adventure through creative recall”. You might never have found the teapots if you’d remembered what you’d been looking for in the first place. 😉

“Creative recall” I like it!

Of everything that I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most. Thanks for the chuckle today.

Ah. I find the most amazing bits of trivia/recipes/news/images when I’ve forgotten what on earth I opened Google search for. It comes to me 10 minutes after all the new knowledge, so I open Google search again, and….. … (Guess it’s not just me!)

Happens to a lot of us. 😉

Is that like walking into a room to get something and then forgetting what you came for because I do that ALL the time.

That’s what my father called, “Believing in the Here After.” Walk into a room and ask, “What am I here after?”

Isn’t it remarkable the things we stumble upon when we forget what we are looking for?

It is remarkable. Sometimes I think I should just go looking for stuff and see what I discover.

I have the very same problem. I often turn to the internet for miscellaneous questions that occur to me — one of the joys of technology — and of late have discovered that often, by the time I open my laptop and get ready to type, I’ve forgotten the question. So frustrating!

Seems to happen more often these days.

I used to worry about my memory loss and then I acclimated. Do you know there’s a 10-second rule for remembering things? Yeah, I use it a lot.

I’m going to have to remember that.
