Poet’s Dilemma
Where do the words come from?
Listening to the world?
Reading a book?
Walking in a forest?
Praying?
Suffering?
A thought forms in my mind.
An image tries to find the light.
My heart aches as all I hear
is the beating of a heart in the night.

I think inspiration for poetry often comes from places you least expect it. Sometimes it’s staring you in the face, you only have to look.

I would say: Listening. To your inner voice, to nature, to people you meet. Listen.
Empathy with all. Pain suffered afar or within
Pure joy
